Back in the spring we welcomed another little lady into our family. Big sister couldn’t be any more excited about having baby J around, and we couldn’t be either!
This maternity session took place last fall right when the leaves were starting to change. The background provided lovely hues of green and yellow for my session with this beautiful couple. Only a few short months after we had our session, they welcomed a precious baby boy into the world. These two are literally the sweetest couple you will ever meet and now that little man is here that officially makes them the sweetest family you will ever meet! I will be sure to blog their newborn session shortly!
While vacationing in South Carolina with family, I took some maternity photos for my sister and her family. The beach down there was gorgeous! Much more blue than I had remembered. As we were heading down to the water to start our session, the sky darkened and we spotted lightening in the distance. A storm was brewing and soon after beginning our session it started raining. Needless to say, we had about twenty minutes to shoot before getting blown away. Although we were pressed for time we still managed to get some lovely shots!
The next day the weather was perfect of course, so we went to an empty lot behind the house and took some maternity shots of just my sister. Isn’t she gorgeous?
It’s always so awesome seeing your friends have babies. Sweet baby girl was a “mystery baby” meaning mom and dad didn’t find out the gender until she was born. Everyone placed their guesses but mom and dad had an inkling “it” was a “she.” And she couldn’t be any more precious! The fur-baby of the family really wanted in on the action and posed for a few shots too. I think it’s obvious she loves having a little sister! Here are a few of my favorites from our newborn session!
And he’s here! Not too long after I took this beautiful family’s maternity photos, little man #2 made his big debut! He is so precious and so sweet and made me miss my daughter being a newborn (I know it wasn’t even that long ago!) And he also gave us the sweetest newborn smile ever! Those dimples!
Mom wanted a shot in this really cool wood basket she had to match a newborn photo of little man #1, and we successfully got “the shot.” She ended up getting canvases and framed prints from both our maternity and newborn sessions and featured them on floating shelves in her dining room. Take it from me – it looks stunning and the photos look even way more beautiful in print. Note to self (and to clients) really consider ordering prints, albums or canvases; leaving the photos on your disc just doesn’t do them justice!
